I thought it would be good to keep track of the different type 1 diabetes equipment I use. So here is my first post listing the Insulin which I use at the moment.
Insulin – Bolus (fast-acting insulin)
For Bolus, I use novorapid (my red pen). I’ve only had this pen for a few months now, it’s much better than the one I had before. This one keeps track of the last dose I had.
I usually have four novorapid injections each day, one with each meal (breakfast, lunch, evening meal and supper).
Insulin – Basal (background insulin)
For my Basal, I use levemir (my blue pen). Like my red pen, I’ve only had this pen for a few months now.
I have two levemir injections each day, one at 8am and the other at 8pm.
Because I’m still quite small, I can have a 4mm needle for my injections.
